When we first met Emmersyn, she was a bold, sassy 8 year old second grader and big sister to two younger siblings. She loves to color and swim, but really loves to spend time with her devoted dog Ghost. When she was sick, her parents got her a little Pit Bull puppy who has really brought her out of her shell. Emmersyn had been fighting Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma since May of 2023. Her battle was very tough, with lots of hospitalizations for fevers, infections and multiple kidney issues. Some months she spent more time in the hospital than at home. That put a huge burden on the rest of the family. Emmersyn is now a third grader who is “obsessed” with Olivia Rodrigo, and loves to do her nails, hair and makeup. We are thrilled to report that Emmersyn was able to ring the bell in June marking the end of her treatment. We wish her all the best for a bright, healthy future!
