Sophie is a 4th grader. In May of 2023, Sophie had knee pain that would not go away. Subsequently she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. Not good news for a busy girl who loves playing video games, especially Party Animals, drawing and doing crafts. She also loves reading graphic novels. Although she has no siblings, she has two very devoted pet cats, Cookie and Bean, who comfort her and make sure she is ok after getting
treatments.

On March 8, Sophie rang the bell, signifying the end of chemotherapy. She will need continuous follow up including scans, blood work and adjustments on her prosthetic leg every 6 months as she continues to grow. We are so happy for Sophie, and her mom that she is done with her chemotherapy.
